How to: Create a new document in Word 7.0.
Solution:
Open 'Word' 7.0, select 'New...' from the 'File' menu, and click the 'General' tab. Double-click 'Blank Document'.
To create a new Word document:
NOTE: The following procedure assumes that Word 7.0 is open.
1) In Word, select 'New...' from the 'File' menu. (The 'New' dialog box appears.)
2) Do one of the following:
a) Create a new, blank document:
1] Click the 'General' tab.
2] Click 'Blank Document' icon.
3] Click 'OK'.
b) Create a new document based on a template or wizard:
1] Click the tab for the desired type of document.
2] Click desired template or wizard.
3] Click 'OK'.
4] (If necessary) Make the appropriate choices in the displayed dialog boxes.
NOTE: Templates have an extension of '.DOT'. Wizards have an extension of '.WIZ' or '.WIZARD'.
